Shell says sells 50% in Khanty-Mansiysk Petroleum Alliance

MOSCOW, Mar 9 (PRIME) -- Shell sold its 50% stake in the Khanty-Mansiysk Petroleum Alliance to an affiliate of Gazprom Neft at the end of February, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

"On February 22, 2023, Shell completed the sale of its interest in CJSC Khanty-Mansiysk Petroleum Alliance to a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft for which an agreement was signed on December 22, 2022," the company said.

President Vladimir Putin allowed Gazprom Neft in February to buy Shell's 50% stakes in Khanty-Mansiysk Petroleum Alliance and Salym Petroleum Development. Gazprom Neft consolidated 100% in the latter, as reported March 3.
